Welcome Ravenous People

Hello,
Let me take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Lawana and  I am 45 and love to cook and eat, one more than the other. All my life my family ate pretty unhealthy. My mother, who could not cook  very well, started us off with greasy, fatty, processed foods at a young age. While other kids were checking out books on the Book Mobile about fairies and princesses, I was at the age of 6 checking out The Joy Of Cooking . I became a wonderful cook down through the years, but I was made aware, by my genius daughter, who happens to be a fitness trainer that my foods were unhealthy and bad for us.  With this new incite,  I figured out what takes most people all their lives to sort out, and it only took me  45 years, yeah, I am way ahead of my time. I was enlightened of the fact that we are not really aware what we are eating and the affect that it has on our body. We are not aware of the hidden garbage and toxins that are in most foods and how they can impact our health. With this being said, I decided to figure out a way to cook delicious meals, that do not taste like crud. Lets face it, most "healthy for me  foods" do not taste the same as the original "bad for me foods". Well, they should and can. I believe foods can be delicious and good for you  changing the way you think about the substance that goes into the meals, and the way that we prepare them. By making these subtle changes on a daily basis and using all natural ingredients, you can have delectable meals.So, with that being said, welcome to my Blog and I hope you enjoy it.
